Greenlaning Poland
Back to Offroad
Club Poland main page.
Poland is blessed with thousands
and thousands of kilometres of unpaved by-ways. Many of which can
legally be used by motorised vehicles. Most of these green lanes can
be tackled with normal family 4x4 vehicles with no modifications. The
Land Rover and International 4x4 Poland
Club get together on the first weekend of every month throughout the
year to drive non-competitively along these green lanes in the west of Poland.
Our 4WD adventure tours involve
lots of greenlaning, which
is one of the least 'extreme' forms of
offroading. The routes we use are predominantly unpaved tracks, forest
tracks, or older roadways that have fallen into disuse. For many of
our tour participants their main interest is using their 4x4 cars to enjoy
the countryside, and to access areas that are seldom travelled by motor
vehicles. The emphasis in our greenlaning is very much on
careful driving. Most 4x4 clubs in Poland are more extreme
offroading - competition and exploring the performance of heavily customised
4WD vehicles. Here are a few pictures of some of the many wonderful green
lanes in Poland.
